Chemo starts Thursday...

Well, looks like I will be starting chemo this Thursday. My doc was ready to get it going today, but I wanted to wait till Thursday so that I can have more help with Tru those first few days after a treatment (meaning... Trent can be here for the worst of it ;) Lucky boy!)

I'm in stage 2a. A means that I don't have any B symptoms which are excessive weight loss and night sweats. I haven't had any of that so I'm in the A category. The cancer is just in the lymph nodes in my chest and neck, it's not in my bone marrow or below the diaphragm.

The mass in my chest is pretty large, about the size of a fist. He said it was the same size as my spleen. I don't know how something that big even has room in there, seriously! It's so weird to me, because I've been running and exercising and I've never had problems breathing or anything other than the normal "I'm out of shape so I can't breath" stuff.

So ya, that's that! I've posted some pictures of hats that I've been knitting for myself over on my crafting blog. Also, I chopped off my hair over the weekend. It's super short! I'll post some pictures of that soon.

Meg,

I am so happy you posted on my blog and that Brewer's told you about it. I cried as I read your story. I am truly amazed at your strength through this trial of losing Clayton and also your new one of cancer... what an amazing woman you must be to be given so much is such a short time. I am also so grateful for the gospel and our knowledge that we can be with our sons again. I have truly come to know that "Strength isn't something we have, it's something God helps us find one day at a time" Which you have truly shown me through reading your posts. I will be putting your family in my prayers. Please feel free to email me anytime! Seriously, I would love to continue to get to know you and talk to you about our little angels. It's nice to have someone who in a little way understands your grief. My email is angie(dot)guymon(at)gmail(dot)com

Megan!
It's Sister Carr! We have been back in UT for a little over a year now and have been able to get together with your parents a couple of times. Your mom told me about your cancer, and since I wanted updates, she gave me your blog address! You have done an amazing job! Thank you for sharing your heart! I have always known that you are truly a special person! I wish that we lived closer so that we could help with your handsome little boy. . .but since we don't, we will keep you and your family in our prayers. . .Heavenly Father will send angels to watch over your family, just like your family watched over us when we needed someone (as we were far from home and had no family around)!
Love You Lots!
