A few of my favorite things... that I'm thankful for...

In honor of Thanksgiving this week and Oprah (I love her.... sometimes) today I'm going to post some of my favorite things... that I'm thankful for. Now, I realize that I can't give you all my favorite things wrapped in a nice little package, but maybe it will inspire you to think about your favorite things (that you're thankful for).

First, I could not live without Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm. When I moved from Hawaii's lush weather to the cruel desert of Nevada I thought that I was going to die. My lips were so chapped and dry and it was horrible. I tried normal chapstick for a while but soon realized it was just making my problem worse. So I went to Whole Foods and found this treasure, and within a day I was singing for joy. And I have worn it everyday since and my lips are loving life.

This is another discovery from moving from tropical paradise to the desert. Olay Complete is heavenly. It's so thin, it doesn't feel like you are wearing moisturizer or lotion on your face at all! And it has SPF in it to protect your beautiful face. I even got Trent hooked on it, it's that good.

Sonics Cherry Lime-aide Slush Float is so good! I love anything with lime in it, and the slush and the ice-cream mixed in. If you haven't tried one then you need to stop by Sonic. I don't like anything else at Sonic, but this is worth it.

Daisies... are just beautiful. When I was in high-school this was my "signature flower". Whenever I gave flowers to anyone I would give daisies. I just love how it is such a simple but beautiful flower. It reminds me that you don't have to go over the top to be beautiful. I was reminded of this the other day when I was driving some friends to the airport and off the side of the road there was this slope with daisies planted there, right in the middle of downtown Las Vegas. It made me happy.

Peanut Butter. I love this stuff. I eat it everyday! I eat it for breakfast on bread with sliced apples on it. If I don't eat it for breakfast then I eat it for lunch. If I miss lunch then I sometimes eat it with my ice cream, when I eat ice cream. It's just perfect.

Shade Tee Shirts. I wore these before I got pregnant, and I wore them throughout my whole pregnancy. Not even the pregnancy ones, because I was a tich poor to buy more of these. So my original shade shirts are a little stretched out now, but they covered my huge tummy for all nine months! And I love how long they are.

My Boys.... aren't they they cutest ever! Trent is my favorite thing in this world. I love this boy more than I can even begin to express. He makes me want to be a better person, better wife, better "girlfriend" every day. He has been amazing since I had Tru also (I'm not surprised). He is so cute with him, takes over when I need a nap, gives me the emotional support that I need when it's been a hard day or I just need to cry it out. He is my rock. Tru comes in a very close second. He is such a beautiful baby, and I'm so happy to be his mom. I love his little face, I love that he already makes me laugh although he can't do anything yet. I'm so excited to live my life with these two.... forever.

Now, I don't have a picture for this one, but I wanted to thank Amy, Arianne, and Chelsie for clothing me for the nine months that I was huge and getting huger. Without them (and their clothes) I would have been naked! And that is not a sight anyone would want to see.
I also am very thankful for my Internet friends. I call you my Internet friends because you aren't here in person, even though I didn't meet you on the Internet. My friends from Brighton, Utah, Hawaii, high school, wherever I met you. It's been hard to live here and not have any friends (yet, someday I'll be social again), and so I really look forward to reading my e-mails, going on facebook or myspace, reading my blog comments, and knowing that my friends out there, wherever you still are, care about me and are there for me. Even friends that when I was around you we weren't the best of friends, but now that we are in the same time of life we have connected again and become better friends.... I am very thankful for you! Every girl needs some good girl friends, and so if you are reading this, any of you, just know that I am so thankful for your support, friendship, advice, and love.

I hope that all of you have a great Thanksgiving this week and enjoy those things in life that make life so sweet....
