Girl's Day...

It's not very often that I have a girl's day all to myself!!! Not to mention, that I spent the whole day being called Megan. That might not seem to significant to any of you... but it is to me. You see, I decided I wanted to go by Meg when we moved to Hawaii 4 1/2 years ago, so to be called Megan means that I'm either with my family or with my dear friends who have been friends with me for a very long time. So to be called Megan for a day was really nice... that being said, don't you all start calling me Megan okay?

I spent the day with Ashley and her darling daughter Gigi SHOPPING!!! I have a hard time going shopping for a few reasons...

1- I have a hard time making up my mind, I'm very indecisive when it comes to things like clothing.

2- I have a hard time finding things that actually fit and cover the areas that need covering so I get frustrated easily.

3- I'm good for a few stores and then I am done, done, done.

4- Probably the biggest reason is I'm a cheapskate...


So you see, Ashley was a sport to go shopping with me!!! She is the queen of fashion as far as I am concerned so I was actually really looking forward to going shopping with her. She did not disappoint! We had a great time. I found a few things that I really liked that worked and we had a great day together. And that little Gigi is a good little shopper herself! It was so nice and refreshing to spend the day with my BFF. I loved the girl talk, and only really thinking about myself and looking cute (okay, I admit it!) Thanks Ashley! We need to do this again soon!

The second part of my girl's day was getting together with my college roommates!!! This is something that we have all been wanting to do but haven't done in a long time. I don't think that we have all been together since the day we moved out 7 years ago honestly! We were all there except for Stephanie... we have no clue where she is now. (She was the quiet/shy roommate and we really didn't get to know her when we lived with her because of it.) It was seriously just like old times! So much fun! It's interesting to see how our lives are all so different now, but we are still the same. The same personalities, the same interests, the same wonderful girls that I lived with that freshman year at Snow.

Here we are now...

We met for dinner and dessert at Leatherby's and then went and looked through old pictures and watched a movie that Julie and I had made afterwards. We made it for our boyfriends... holy cow it was funny! I couldn't help but be a little embarrassed at how crazy I was back in the day. It was surreal to watch this 18 year old "Megan" dancing around and singing with my guitar. So much happens in 8 years. It was fun to reminisce about the old times, the fun things we used to do, the mean things we used to do (like steal Ashlee's cookies that she made). I'm sorry that I was so mean Ashlee, I'm glad that you are still my friend!

So Ashley, Julie, Angela, Kimberlee, and Ashlee... thank you for the girl's day. I really needed it. I needed to be reminded of "Megan" and of the wonderful people that are in my life! I love you guys!
