Dear Tru,
Oh baby boy, you grow bigger and bigger everyday. I haven't been as obsessed with writing you letters every month... but I felt it was time for a new one. You are doing so many new things everyday I don't want to forget a second of it.
First of all, you are adorable! You melt my heart every time I look at you. Maybe it's because you really do look so much like you handsome daddy. Maybe it's just the way that you smile your sweet little smile at me. Either way, I'm in love...
Here are a few things that are going on in your life right now...
- You are starting to talk a little bit. You are not really good at saying words when asked, you like to be a little more spontaneous than that. You can say; all done, up, Tru, Mama, Daddy, tub, and that's about it! I think that's a pretty good start. You also sign food and drink. You talk your own little jabber language constantly.
- You've started "folding your arms" when we say a pray and mumble to yourself during it. I love your interpretation of folding your arms... you just put both palms of your hands on your chest and hold them their.
- You are a little mischief maker. CONSTANTLY getting into everything. I feel really bad for saying no all the time, but you are getting a little better at listening. You like to think that if you don't make eye contact then you can ignore us when we tell you no... geez!
- Your favorite food is frozen mixed vegetables. You would eat these for every meal if I gave them to you!
- You love playing with magnets and will pull them off of the door and bring them to me one by one.
- You like to run after your shadow.
- You still love being read to.
- Your favorite song that we sing to you is "Ta Ra Ra Boom De Ae..." I have no clue what that means or who made it up, but you love it and laugh every time.
- You're a little cuddler. You get shy with strangers and will lay your head on my shoulder. You like to cuddle up with dad and I in the morning when we are too lazy to get out of bed. You like to be held in your blanket and sang to before you go to bed.
- You finally figured out how to suck out of a straw.
- You have started to throw fits which I don't really like. You hate to have your diaper changed and you hate getting into the car. It's really too bad that we do those things multiple times a day because I wish that you would get used to it already.
- You love to go to the park, which is a double edged sword. It's fun to watch you run around and play, but we have to drag you kicking and screaming when it's time to leave.
- You give the best hugs and kisses ever!
We love you so much Tru. You are the brightest and best part of our day!
Love,
Mom
