Seven Months Old...

Dear Tru,

You are seven months old today!!! I can hardly believe how fast you are growing up! It seems like every month you just get bigger, smarter, funner, happier. We've been having a lot of fun lately with you.
Your biggest milestones for the past month are that you are now sitting up on your own. You sit so straight and tall!! Very impressive. Another milestone is that you don't just roll over for the sake of rolling over, but you have discovered that you can roll places, and are starting to get into a little mischief...You've also started giving big, sloppy, open mouthed kisses. I love them, dad however isn't the biggest fan of your kisses. Too sloppy. You love to play peek-a-boo and could play this for hours!!

You are a bit of a gawker (is that even a word??)... you like to sit and stare at things and people with your mouth wide open and you eyes big and wide. I wonder what you are thinking about... You are also a drooler. Your poor little chapped chin, hopefully you get some teeth sometime with all this drooling going on.

Some other things that are going on right now in your life are that you really don't like strangers. They make you cry. I'm not sure what we are going to do when we go up to Utah and everyone is a stranger, hopefully you get used to it. You are also scared of noises, like the vacuum, blow dryer, blender, mixers, etc. You also love mom and dad's attention and cry at us when we walk by you and don't pick you up. Here you are hanging out with dad, giving him a big swat on the face...

You are getting very good at nap time, a little too good. You don't cry anymore when I lay you down for a nap (most of the time) and you don't cry when you wake up. Sometimes I have to go in and check on you, and sure enough you are wide awake just hanging out in your crib for who knows how long. Don't you know you're suppose to let mom know when you are awake so we can play!!!

You LOVE eating your baby food! Some of your favorites are bananas, apples and chicken, peas, beans, sweet potatoes, and apple sauce. You don't care much for the pureed pears, but if I give you a real pear you go to town. It's so funny, if you see anyone eating your mouth just starts moving and you don't take your eyes off that food!!! Life will be good when you get some teeth and can really start eating. Nursing, is getting a little hard... you would rather eat now days, so we'll see how long that lasts. Also, if anyone else is around (especially dad) that is the last thing that you want to do... you just want to laugh and play.

You are such a happy kid. We really love making you laugh and playing with you. You are a very squirmy kid and like to jump any time those feet of yours hit the ground. The only way that I can make you lay still when I'm changing you or getting you dressed is when I sing "The Wheels on the Bus." That works every time.

Well Tru, you are my favorite little boy in the world!! I am so happy to be your mama. I love you with all my heart and so does dad!

Love,

Mom

Sierra loves "Wheels on the Bus" as well. I find myself making up words to it because I get bored with it. It's pretty interesting the things you come up with.

I cannot believe how grown up he is now! He is sure cute! We're planning on coming to Vegas soon, and I'd love to see you and your cute little man! :) How is the house hunt coming along?

Too sweet. Our little boy is a drooler, too.
