I've been an avid 409 cleaner for the past 10 years. I have always used that stuff, on basically everything. I didn't use it a lot when I was prego because Trent didn't think that it would be good for the baby but I have picked up the habit again. I've been trying to find another cleaning product for a few different reasons...
1- It gets under my rings and eats my skin away. I haven't been wearing my wedding ring or other rings lately because of the horrible burn that is from the cleaning chemicals.
2- It makes me cough and sneeze. Maybe that's a bad sign that it's not good for your lungs, call me crazy!! I cough every time that I spray the stuff... not good.
3- I don't like the yellowness of it. If you have 409 try it out, spray and wipe with a rag... yellow. What makes this blue stuff turn yellow on everything. I'm not sure, and I'm not sure that I really want to know either. That isn't a good sign.
I was about to buy an empty bottle and fill it with vinegar and water to clean with, but I didn't really want my house to smell of vinegar all the time. I've been thinking about becoming a little "greener" than I am so I was trying to find a natural cleaner that wouldn't break the bank and VOILA.....

Thanks Miss (Mrs) Karen for tipping me off to this one. I picked up some Green Works at Target the other day and I am officially in LOVE with this stuff!! It uses coconut oil and lemon oil and smells soooooo good!!! I've already used half a bottle and cleaned almost every surface of my home with this stuff (feel free to come on over... I don't think it will stay this clean for long).
If you've been thinking about it..... DO IT!! You won't regret it, I promise!! Thank you Clorox!!

Thanks for this post Meg! I was thinking of trying this but wasn't really sure about giving up my tried and tested cleaners. Next time I will go green!
I think I might have to try this...you know how big a fan I am of bleach - but you can only "air out" so much before it gets to you (especially preggers).
Thanks for the suggestion.
