Well, you are two now! I can hardly believe that time has gone by so fast! On your birthday I just kept thinking back to the day you were born. I had no clue how much happiness and joy you would bring to our family. We love you so much, you really are my sunshine every single day! I love that I am your mom and that I get to spend each day with you.
You are a wild child... that's for sure! You love to climb, climb, CLIMB! You even say that as you go... "CLIMB". There isn't anything that is out of reach for you. Lately you've been climbing up on top of the kitchen counters and on all of the bathroom counters so it's makes it really hard to "Tru proof" anything!
Here are some other things going on in your life right now...
- Every night before you go to bed we kneel down in your room to say prayers. You're getting pretty good and kneeling and folding your arms. For some reason you think that we need to sing "The wheels on the bus" after we pray....
- You love animals. Your favorite animal is an elephant. You love anything that has to do with elephants... Jungle Book, Dumbo, Tarzan. You like to pretend you are an elephant and scream like an elephant (or however you call it).
- You love to read and be read to. You like to sit in our laps as we read to you. We read a lot around here.
- You are getting to be a picky eater. You will eat eggies (scrambled eggs) or oatmeal for breakfast most days. You also love to eat apples and stick your apple on a fork and eat it that way. You LOVE sugar... and are always asking for treats, but don't get those all the time. You also love popcorn and love to watch it pop out of the popcorn maker.
- You're starting to talk a lot more. You are starting to say some three word sentences. Some of your favorites are..."I want it... I get it... Stop it (especially while changing your diaper), hold you." You can say almost every word and talk a lot.
- You love playing with your little friends and like to play with your cousins. You also love babies and will put on your shoes and cooperate getting into the car if you know we are on our way to play with a baby.
- You still love puppies (tubbies) and like to say hi to them when we go out on walks.
- There is a cupboard in the kitchen that holds all the pots and pans and this is where you like to "hide" and stash all of your treasures. If I'm ever missing something I just go look in the pot cupboard and there it usually is!
- You are a very sweet boy and you still let me hold you and cuddle you!!!
Tru, the last six months of your little life have been a bit chaotic to say the least. Thank you for being such a good little boy for me! You are very good at going and playing at friends houses when I have to see the doctor. When mom is very sad you come and give me a hug and lay your little head on my shoulder and it does make me feel a lot better. I love how sweet you are and how sensitive you are to others feelings. I love you Tru! I wouldn't trade you for anything. You bring me so much joy and happiness and I'm so glad that I am your mom. Happy Birthday sweetie!
Love,
Mom
