Stitched...

Well, Tru got his first set of stitches the other day (hopefully his last but you never know...)

We were just sitting down to eat this great dinner that we had picked up. We even had guests over! And just after the prayer.... CRASH!!! Tru had stood up in his highchair and the tray gave way and he fell and hit the edge of the table with his head. Poor kid. I start freaking out a little bit because of all the blood and how deep it was. Trent was sad he didn't get to eat his dinner...

It was pretty traumatic for Tru. When we first laid him down on the exam table he was so still and quiet. I'll never forget the look on his face. The room was quiet when the doctor was prepping his stuff and Tru said in his little voice, "So sorry..." Sorry wasn't going to get him out of this one.

He screamed his head off the whole time. When he wasn't screaming he was saying, "All done... all done... all done... all done.... OH NO!" Yes, it was traumatic. He got two suckers when he was done and even told the doctor, "thank you." That's my boy...

Poor little guy! I hope for your sake it's his last but especially with kids...who knows! Jared's had over 100 stitches himself. It's just so difficult to see your little child in pain especially when there's blood!

Poor little guy! It's so hard to watch them be in pain.

That is such a cute picture. Don't you just wish you knew what was going on in their little heads as they go through things like that. I am glad he is doing better. Did he have the stitches in nursery? I looked right at him a few times and I never noticed. Or was it on Monday? I know I am clueless sometimes but that would be bad if I hadn't noticed 7 stitches across his cute little forehead.

Oh, that is so sad. I bet Paige would be saying the exact same things while getting stitches. Poor little Tru.

He's a boy, it won't be his last. Luckily, but the time he's a teenager, he'll be an old pro at stitches!
