One of the highlights in going to DC when we did was because it is crab season... Trent has been lusting after fresh blue crabs for quiet some time. I knew it was bad when he changed his desktop background picture to a pot full of crabs... who does that? The first night we were there we headed down to the little crab shacks down in the harbor to see what we could find...
Holy cow, I didn't realize that these crabs would be alive!!! They sure were, we even saw a few that escaped over the edge of the counter... it was nuts.
We bought half a bushel (a bushel is the wooden basket that they put them in) of live crabs and then took them to be steamed and seasoned with a bunch of Old Bay.
Here we are with our live crabs. The look on Trent's face the whole time we were there made me think that it was Christmas morning or something!
We took them back home and sat and ate crab until we were stuffed. It was insane... I have never had such good crab in my life! It may sound strange, but that's what we did. It was quiet the experience for sure... We were eating crab for days it seemed like. It was so good though!

I love crabs. I would have loved to join you. I am glad you had fun.
Crabs always remind me of the book "My brother Jacob" Pretty interesting book and some of it is about catching them. It makes me just want to eat them...sounds delicious!
I LOVE CRAB.
