He decided that he wanted to play hair dresser, make up artist while I was trying to CONCENTRATE on the show! Geez! It was funny though.
I can take a hint, Trent has been saying for a long long long long time that he wishes that I would get dressed up more, wear jewelry more, do my hair more, wear lipstick, and earrings, the list could go on. I guess since I haven't been doing any of that he decided to take matters into his own hands. He even told me that for his birthday he wants me to go and get acrylic nails on, and a pedicure, and wear lipstick and earrings every day for the month of August.
I'm a little scared.
Does he not realize how lucky he is that he doesn't have a high maintenance girl on his hands? I think that he should be counting his blessings! But I guess I could do more to doll up around here.
It's just hard, when you are a mom you put yourself on the back burner. I need to try harder to look cute for my hubby!
Does anyone have any suggestions for where I should start? Trent would really appreciate it!

So funny! Start with red nail polish. Even if you don't go to a salon. A bottle of OPI in "A oui bit of red" or "We'll always have Paris" (my two faves). You can't NOT feel feminine :)
That's so funny! Rusty wanted me to wear earings for his birthday, too. Just one day though. I moaned and groaned about it, but he got his wish!
that's funny because Paul totally doesn't like when I wear earrings or heals, and I am totally addicted to heals. He's glad I've converted to slipahs. hmm I would say just hair and makeup of stuff you already have. I haven't wore makeup since march and it feels so weird when I put it on now, even if it is just mascara on my top lashes.
If Dale was at home more I would probably be in the same boat as you. Plus you look better than I do on most days so I am not in a position to give advise on this subject. Let me know what you find out. I do like Flashy Ashley's red nail polish idea. I think I'll do that tonight. :D
you are one that definitely does NOT need suggestions...you always look beautiful!!
I think that's funny that that's what Trent wants you to do for HIS birthday...he's so funny :)
He TOTALLY doesn't know how easy he has it with such a non-high-maintenance girl! LOL. I think you look fabulous just the way you are.
Ha! I've been thinking about this lately as my nails are in desperate need for some TLC. When I was single/first married I used to do my nails/pluck my eyebrows every saturday. I think I need to get back into the habit!
I also find that having a relaxing bath and putting on some great smelling cream encourages one to want to 'pretty up' more.
This reminds me of a conversation that we both had shortly after you and I became engaged about "not letting ourselves go". Do you remember? Honestly, I think you've always been beautiful but after having Christian one of my girl-friends had a lia sophia party and I got some really cute bracelets. I can't always stand earrings but if I do put a braclet on I usually feel a little more "special". Bracelets are pretty and add just a touch of color!
