Well, the second day of bedrest we decided to drive home for the funeral of a good family friend. I know that may not seem like the best idea for someone who is on "bed rest" but I figured I could sit on my couch or sit on someone else's couch. I'm really glad that we went. Though the circumstances were so sad, it was nice to see those who we love and care about. It ended up being a good good thing. I was able to sit back and rest while Tru played with his cousins, aunts and uncles. I got a lot more rest there than I would have at home.
Sunday morning when we were getting ready to drive back Trent's dad called to tell us that Trent's youngest sister Kristin had spring break all week and he wanted to send her down with us for the week! Oh man, what a huge blessing!!! Kristin, being the youngest of 12 kids, is one of the biggest helpers that I know. She is so good with kids, loves playing with the nieces and nephews, is a good cook, can entertain herself. It truly was an answer to my prayers this week.
We've been calling her "Dream Kristin" all week because Tru is completely smitten with her. When he realized that she was going to be sitting by her the whole ride home he was just giddy... like his wildest dreams had just come true! He smiled and laughed at her the ENTIRE RIDE HOME!!! Not one cry was heard from that kid the whole 7 hours... just laughter and gibberish. It was so cute.
We've been watching lots of movies to pass the time. Pride and Prejudice, North and South, any other chick flick you can imagine... I've never seen so many chick flicks in my life! At first I was dreading this week because I didn't know how I was going to entertain Tru day after day, but it has been wonderful! Kristin has made us breakfast, lunch, helped Trent with dinner, done lots of dishes, sweeping, bathing Tru, put him down for naps, taken him on lots of walks, blown bubbles with him, the list goes on and on...
I'm really going to miss my Dream Kristin when we have to send her back tomorrow... I think that my wildest dreams of the week have come true as well.

I am glad the week went so well. Dream Kristin mayby on her way out but I am on my way in; not saying by any means that I am a 'dream' but whatever. :D

That is just great! How awesome to have someone helping for a bit. Good luck when she's gone.
