Bed Rest - Day #1

This is my attempt to make this whole bed rest thing seem more interesting than it is. For all of you technical people out there I have what is called a Subchorionic Hematoma. Hopefully I wont be have to be on bed rest for more than a few weeks.

Thursday was my first official day on bed rest. I was hoping that Tru would just play by himself and keep himself entertained. Instead he sat on my lap... all... day... long....

It was wonderful! A whole day with absolutely nothing to do but sit there and hold my little boy. He was a sweetheart. It's pretty frustrating to be sitting there with a million things that I want to do or "need" to do but not able to do anything. So I decided that instead of being frustrated I would relish this time I have to hold my boy. The days of just him and me hanging out at home are numbered, so it's nice to have some special moments with him. Forget the laundry, and the dishes, and the shopping, why bother worry about it when I shouldn't be doing it anyway! I'll just hold my little boy...

Hey, I'm glad things are going well so far. Tru seems like such a sweet boy.
I don't know if you are familiar with babycenter.com or not, but I go there all the time and I really like it. There are tons of support groups that are really helpful. Its nice to know that there are others in your situation and lots of times they have great tips and can tell you what to expect. There is a group for SCH and here is the link:

Just in case you're intersted. :)

Ok, that didn't work either. You can find it at babycenter.com if you search under the communities.

You are such a cute mom! And I'm so glad he just wanted to sit with you!!! So how careful do you HAVE to be? Can you NOT do dishes and laundry? I'm sure it's nice not to, but I know how it is when you just have to sit :)

P.S. I drove through Vegas twice this weekend and thought of you the whole time.

That's so sweet of Tru!

I had the same thing when I was pregnant with Joshua- it ended up being reabsorbed.

If you end up taking any blood thinners I've been taking them for most of the past 3 years so feel free to ask any questions.

I hope the bedrest gets easier for you!

I can't even imagine how hard that must be. Just rent lots of good movies and snuggle that boy. I wish we lived near you and I could help you out!
