Easter...

Easter was pretty low key this year. I'm glad that I got the few little things that I had gotten for Tru ahead of time so that we had something. Trent and Dream Kristin took care of the rest...

We (umm... they) dyed eggs...

We had some bunny cakes. The big debate of the weekend was what to put in the center of the cake. Oh the joys of being married to a hunter. I wanted to do carrot cake. Red velvet cake was mentioned, but a little too gory. In the end we did white cake with... raspberry jam inside. It was delicious, I tried not to think of it as a real bunny...

We had some delicious crepes with more raspberry jam and powdered sugar for breakfast thanks to Trent.

Tru didn't get any snazzy church clothes because he already has plenty. He did get a new swimming suit and some eggs. I put one jelly bean in each egg and he thought he was in heaven!!! So funny!

It was fun. It was nice to just hang out and have fun and to not be too stressed about the holiday. I tend to get a little too stressed when I don't get all the things done that I want to for holidays but it was nice to just throw my arms up and enjoy it.

We really spent Easter making sure Dream Kristin made it back to her home... I'm going to miss her. More fun in store for Tru tomorrow though... he doesn't even know what coming!

I'm lovin' the swimsuit in the Easter basket idea. I have seen that on quite a few blogs and think I'll add that to my tradition next year. Your bunny cake looks awesome! I bet it was delicious!

Looks like you had fun! I couldn't cut the bunny cake up either... someone else had to!
