I've been luke warm in my couponing efforts. I look at the grocery smarts website every week to see what sales are worth it and which ones aren't. Last week I stocked up on some Crystal Light (a staple item in our home) and walked away with $16 worth of Albertsons coupons to use on my next trip. So no, I'm not all into the couponing yet, I have not ordered the Sunday paper to get the coupons there, I just keep the ones that come in the mail and occasionally use them.
Today I went to buy some produce mainly because we were fresh out. I know that Red Vines are not classified as produce, but Tru really really wanted them. In the end... Albertsons paid me 8 cents to take this food home.
The total was $23.18. I had $16 in store coupons and saved $7.10 for getting items that were on sale. So yes, this is the first time that I have been paid to take my groceries home. Makes me want to coupon more...

I haven't done that kind of shopping for a long time - but hey - that's my girl!
Seriously?!? That's so awesome! I haven't gotten into coupons yet, but would really like to. We only get one store's advertisement each week, and I've found some coupons online for items we frequently purchase, but I haven't managed to put the two together to get really great deals. Someday. . . :)
Oh, and congratulations! I hope you're feeling and doing well.
Wait...they actually Paid you!? AWESOME! I didn't know that was possible! I really should use coupons!
I need to figure out how to do all of that! Good job sis!
Good Job. I wish I could say I did that well yesterday at Smiths. I only saved 40% which in my experiences is not that great. We just didn't need a lot of sale items this time. I did stock up on produce which is good but you did excellent. I hope you are feeling better soon!
YAY!!! Go you!!
That's awesome! That is definatley THE way to shop!
