***If you don't care to read about pregnancy woes then you can stop right here... thanks!
First of all, thank you for all of your well wishes. We are very excited to be on this journey again. A bit shocked, but excited. No it wasn't a surprise per say... I guess just surprised that it actually worked when we wanted it to. It took us a year to become pregnant with Tru so we figured that it would take a while for another baby. WRONG!!! I honestly was in shock for the first few weeks that it had happened so fast. I had totally prepared myself mentally and emotionally for months and months of disappointment, which didn't happen. Then there was the wait to see if this baby was going to stay. That was the hard part.
The first trimester was a rough one. It's funny how motherhood changes you. When I was first pregnant with Tru I absolutely refused to go to the doctor before 12 weeks because I didn't think that they could tell me anything sooner than that anyway due to what happened with my miscarriage. But at 6 weeks with this baby the problems started. I couldn't just sit at home and wait it out. I don't want to get too graphic, but sometimes pregnancy/childbirth is a bit graphic so I'll try to be "considerate" of you all (mainly my brother...) That's when the spotting started. So I went in at 6 weeks, had an ultrasound. As far as the doctor could tell everything was fine. He wanted to see me again at 8 weeks so I went back for another ultrasound, again things appeared fine. Then at 11 weeks I had a horrible horrible day when I was sure that this baby wasn't going to make it. We went back to the doctor and had another ultrasound where he saw that the placenta had not attached right and was hemorrhaging in some places. Which explains the "problems" I've been having (am I being vague enough???) My doctor said that this problem usually corrects itself and gave me orders to "take it easy." Not so easy that I can't do laundry and dishes (darn it!) but no exercise or lifting heavy things etc.
I went back in again at the end of my 12th week and the heart beat was strong, I just have to keep taking it easy and see how things go. I think that things will be okay. I thought that I was out of the woods enough so we went on a little day trip last week to Zions National Park and went on a short, easy, paved hike up Emerald Springs and it proved to be too much for me. It's hard to just sit here!!! I want to get out and move my legs and move my body... but I want this baby more. So I will take it easy.
So there is the bad (the issues) and the good (baby is doing good) and the not so pretty is...
Am I suppose to be smiling for this picture? I'm not really sure what preggo picture facial etiquette is...
So there is the current status of how things are going. We are very excited. I hope that everything works out and that this baby will continue to grow strong.

Just remember when you hit that 'three car garage' stage that there is a porsche in there and you'll 'down size' just like last time. Love you babe. I am glad things are going well.
I think you look dang perty!!! I'm sorry that you've had problems with the pregnancy, but I'm so GLAD that you are pregnant again! I love ya!
If it makes you feel any better, that IS how big I was around 13 weeks with Mae. I literally started showing the moment I found out, and thats not an exaggeration. So maybe you're having a girl!
I hope all continues to go well with this baby. I'm very excited for you.
you're such a cute pregnant woman!!
I showed at 11 weeks with my baby girl (my 2nd) too. I thought it was weird...but i was about the same size at the end...no worries.
I hope that things keep getting better and BETTER!!!
You look gorgeous Meg!
I grew real fast in the begining with both babies (I was wearing maternity clothes by 7 weeks!) then almost no growth until the 3rd trimester so you never know!
I had bleeding with both pregnancies as well. It was worse with Joshua and continued until about 21 weeks. I had the joy of being on 'pelvic rest' for 6 months!
Are you throwing up lots? My doc told me it can 'bruise' the uterus and cause bleeding at times....
Our best wishes are with you guys and this baby! Keep us updated =o)
I'm Soooo excited for you. :) Congrats, MEG!
I am so excited for you guys, you are in our prayers that everything stays okay. I think I have showed earlier with each baby but then the growth seemed to slow down, I will hope the same for you!! And if you are coming up for conference and need a place to stay let me know, we have a guest room just waiting to be used.
You look ADORABLE prego! I'm so glad the baby is ok! I get nervous I'll run into those issues. Will you be my mentor when I get pregnant?
congratulations! let us know what the sex of the baby ok?
Wow, you really are showing! You look so cute! I hope everything goes smoothly for you.
P.S. Still jealous.
You just skipped the whole "Is she pregnant or just gaining weight?" stage! I would love to have that happen to me! You look darling!
You look so cute! I hope "the issues" go away soon. I'm so excited for you guys!!
RAD Meg! I had no idea- huge congratulations to you my friend!
Congrats! That is so exciting! I wish I could get pregnant fast this time around...but its 2 years later, and still no luck. :) I hope you don't have anymore worries with this pregnancy. How scary!
I think you still make a really darling pregnant woman - even if you are showing a little bit right now! ;)
And I'm glad that there aren't any problems with the pregnancy. I'm sure that was really scary at first.
You look awesome Meg. I totally showed sooner with my 2nd and 3rd. In a way it's nice because when you're feeling sick or tired people are aware that you're pregnant not just complaining. Did we tell you I was pregnant when we came to see you guys a year and a half ago? I can't remember. But...I was not far along and I did not feel well. I don't remember if we were telling people yet. Good luck this time around.
i think you look HOT!
that's crazy about all the spotting. i would have been worried out of my mind. i'm glad you and baby are ok.
You look great! Each pregnancy I have shown earlier and earlier, this is #6. I hope by taking it easy (TAKE IT EASY!), things will get better.
