Protecting his bath animals from the storm...I'm really loving this "one year" stage we are in right now with our 14 month old monkey. He is so happy and playful it's hard not to love it! I try to have floor time with him every day where I get down on the floor and we play airplane, horsie, he climbs on my back, and we both laugh the whole time. Other things that I'm loving about this stage is that he can tell me when he's hungry or thirsty through signing. He also has started putting his shoes away on his own, tries to put on his own clothes, and likes to help me do our everyday stuff. My new personal favorite... knuckles. He likes to give knuckles.
I've been feeling a little sad lately that my baby isn't a baby anymore. I've noticed though that my sadness is diminishing the more I enjoy his one year old self. It is really great that I don't get spit up on all day anymore. It's also really great that he can play by himself and I don't have to entertain him all the time. He is the sunshine of my day, and I'm glad that we are enjoying this little one year old boy!

So sweet meg. I thought I'd be sad not having my baby anymore too, then I thought I couldn't love any stage more than a wild one year old. I was convinced that the twos were my favorite, but the three's have been the most fun yet! I don't want her to grow up too fast, but I get the feeling it just keeps getting better and better :)
this is seriously one of the FUNNEST ages!! i loved addi at this time ... still love her now, of course. i just mean they can't talk back yet and are just so inquisitive and the best people to hang out with.
and i love the tub pic!
