Happy Birthday Tru!!!

12 months of this adorable boy. Happy Birthday Tru!!! I'm so excited that we get to spend your birthday today with your aunts, uncle, cousins, and Grandpa Craig and Grandma Karen will be here tomorrow. You are such a loved little boy. Here is what's going on in your life right now...

- You are starting to sign. You've signed "food" and "all done".
- You love climbing on top of things. This morning I found you on top of the toilet. I'm constantly checking where you are because you've become quite the little monkey.
- We call you monkey boy... mainly dad. He even has a monkey boy song that he sings to you.
- You love to eat yogurt!!! It's your favorite by far.
- You love to take baths and your favorite bath toy is the bottle of baby soap. Go figure.
- You love to jabber away and point to things. It's funny to hear to talk so much even though I have no clue what you think you're saying.
- You love to sew with mom. This is the only machine that you aren't scared of. You like to sit on my lap and watch me sew, I think that it's cute.
- You are starting to stand up on your own. You're pretty timid about it. You know that you are doing it but you do it very carefully and only for a minute.
- Peek-a-boo is your favorite little game, we play that one all day long.

Things you don't like....
- Getting dressed, or your diaper changed. We have to pin you down with our leg to get the job done.
- Any food that's even remotely warm or hot. You spit it right out.
- You cry every time that dad leaves for work. And you sit by the door every night waiting for him to come home. You don't like being away from dad at all.
- You don't like mashed potatoes or any potatoes for that matter.
- You don't like being left alone. You like being the center of attention all the time... which is fine with me (for now).

You are still a big boy. You are the biggest out of your little friends that you play with, but you are the youngest. You have such a tender little heart, you always have... which makes me laugh to see these babies that are smaller than you make you cry! I hope that you always have a tender heart and that you are always compassionate towards other people. It's a real joy to be your mom. I'm so happy to see how far you have come in the last year, and that I've been able to be at your side through the whole thing. I love you Tru!!!
