Knitting...

So I figured it out! I sat down faithfully for a week and knit myself a hat for my boy. I had to undo it and restart about three times because I messed up... but overall I'm pretty excited that I knit a whole hat by myself...

Except for one small problem...

It's a little on the large side... too large for Tru. He wasn't liking it at all, so sorry for the blurry picture...

However... it does fit me. Who has the big head now???

Too bad I don't want to be a pumpkin for Halloween...

I feel like knitting is a friend that I should have met years ago! There is no logical reason why we haven't met, our paths have crossed so many times. I really like it, it's really not that hard, it's soothing, it's creating. What's not to like! Good thing I like knitting because I need to start over and knit another smaller hat...

Good work! I am impressed that you decided you wanted to learn to knit and you just sat down and taught yourself...and in a weeks time! BTW the hat looks good on you.

You could knit 2 more and all sit around Oct 31 being pumpkins! It looks like you did a great job.

Wow, you're not the first roommate I have had to get into knitting. And don't you worry, every person's first time on knitting the hat, they have to undo it a few times. It may be a tad large for Tru, but you could just cuff up the edge and it should fit? :)

Last year I got one of those handy dandy looms....I made hats galore!! I don't know if I'm ready to move on yet..... I've been putting off trying to knit for so long....I know it will happen someday....so why not start now?? It's just so intimidating to me.
