It's NOT!!! Man this kid can cry! In all my experience as a mother... (ha!) I think that it's a mixture of this four top teeth trying to come in (one broke through this weekend) and the whole nine month separation anxiety that is causing my angel child to cry all.... day.... long.
Meal time is the worst. I don't get it, he loves eating. But the second I start to put him in his high chair the tears start rolling away! And if I need to get up and move into the kitchen for something... like his food... forget it! Full on Niagara Falls! He constantly needs to be touching me or he just screams. It's so sad. I feel bad for him.
Nap time has gone from being something pretty nice to something TOTALLY ESSENTIAL. For my sanity at least. I hope that he cheers up soon. One day this will be a funny memory of my little monkey child clinging onto my leg as I go about my business. But for now. It's the pits...

that was great birth control, thanks :)
I will second p&kbrewer with the whole birth contorl :) I hope things get better. It is kind of cute that he is so attached to his mommy though!
Ah yes, the clingy stage. You'll get through it! It's a rough one!
Am I crazy. . . that sweet little cryin monkey child makes me want a baby around! Oh he is so cute :) great pics meg.
Maybe he just needs 24 hours of Grandma. Or maybe he'll be afraid of all of us. So sad! How's his lippy-loo?
Oh that is so sad, I hope he grows out of that soon for your sake!
Hang in there. It doesn't last, I promise!
In the meantime, don't feel bad about getting excited for nap time. There is nothing wrong with that! We all know what it is like. :)
