Oh my little baby, you are one month old today!!! I can't believe that we made it! It's probably been the hardest and most rewarding month of my life.
Even though you are still so little and so new, you have changed in this last month. You are no longer a little 9 lb 5 oz baby (little???) but you are a definate 12 lbs by now. You are getting heavy!! Dad was complaining the other day about how his arm hurt from holding you for so long. You are chunking out!!! But we love it. You're probably going to be like your mommy when I was a baby and have lots of arm rolls and thigh rolls.
As for the nicknames we lovingly call you.... the top one is chompers. That one explains itself, eating is your favorite time. I'm so glad that we both figured that one out, and one would think that you were starving when it came to meal time, but it is funny to watch you chomp away. We also call you "little man" even though you aren't as little as other one month olds, you are still little to us. We also call you the one eyed pirate.... see for yourself why....
You like to just open one eye and see if it's even worth it to open the other one. Cute!!!
We still have a long way to go, we haven't quiet figured out days and nights. Some nights you do really well, and others, well, we spend lots of quality time together. We'll get the hang of it though.
You have become a lot more vocal. You like to grunt, growl, sigh, we're still waiting for the coos and laughs, but they will come.
Thanks for coming into our family Tru! We waited a long time for you! You are the most precious little boy! We love you!
