Seven...

This was us seven years ago today...

I can't even believe that it's been seven years!

Today we went on a nice long drive, and while Tru slept in the back we talked about these past seven years. The good, the bad, it went something like this...

Trent: "What have you learned in the past seven years?"
Meg: "I've learned how to cook!"
Trent: "You have?"

HILARIOUS!!! I seriously laughed out loud when he said that. He meant that he thought I knew how to cook before we got married... but it sounded like he meant that I still didn't know how to cook.

And that in a nut shell is what I have learned in seven years. Not really how to cook, but how to not jump to conclusions, not take the little things too seriously, and how to laugh at ourselves because we are not perfect... we are just trying to make it through this crazy life together... side by side.

I really love this boy... it has been such a hard year for us in so many different ways. I have not been an equal partner in this marriage this year. I have totally and completely stopped doing so many things that a "good and faithful wife" does. Things that I wish I could do like iron his clothes everyday, make dinner every night, the list goes on and on and on...

We've truly learned what "in sickness and in health, in good times and in bad" really means. He has stood by me through everything.

The other night we watched The Seven Year Itch with Marilyn Monroe... such a funny movie. I don't think that there will be any seven year itch here folks... if we're still standing strong after this horrific year (which we are) then I think we're good!

Congrats on seven years. You are one of the best couples I know-completely imperfect, but perfect for each other. :D Love you lots!

Congratulations on 7 years! It seems like ime has gone so fast since we were both at SLCC together preparing for our weddings... I'm so glad you found such a wonderful eternal companion. There is nobody like someone who will stand/hold you through the thick and thin of life!
