Engaged...

I totally missed it... again! I have a hard time remembering the day that we got engaged for some reason. The other night Trent was asking what day it was because it was sometime in August so I had to go look... August 6th. Maybe I'll remember it next year ;).

He proposed while I was working as a camp counselor at Brighton LDS Girls Camp. I was on a hike with my campers to Lake Mary and there were these roses on the trail that said, "Paris... of all the many things you do there's many things I love about you." (Paris was my camp name by the way...) Then every so often on the trail there would be a rose with a little note saying something that he loved about me.

He was waiting at the dam with a bouquet of wildflowers. As he knelt down on his knee a huge banner dropped on the dam that said "Paris will you marry me" (Notice no question mark... I thought that was funny.) I was honestly in such awe of this banner that I don't have a clue what he was saying. It was a fun day! Such a creative guy!

We were talking the other night about what the best days of our lives were... we agreed on both of them. One being the day we became parents to this adorable little boy we have. The other being the day that we realized that we had met the person that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives with. Not our wedding day, or engagement day, but the day we realized that this was it! Our other half was found! I'm so happy that I get to be with this guy forever! Love you Trent!

One little detail you forgot. You had hiked that same hike the WHOLE summer and you were in tears when you found out you'd be doing it AGAIN. I remember Rio totally working it out because of course you had to do that hike again.
