It's pretty hard to get a good picture of you these days. You are constantly running around, no time to pose for a picture.
Oh little boy, you are no longer my little baby... you are a boy. You proved this to me last night when you were taking a bath and when I wasn't looking climbed out of the tub and streaked sopping wet a crossed the whole house so that you could jump on dad sitting on the couch. You have finally found your running legs and use them all day long.
You are such a sweet boy! You love to laugh and play with your friends and cousins. You do have a little mean streak in you and you don't mind pulling out the hand and swatting someone who gets in your way. We are working on that one. You aren't afraid to take on a kid three times your age... geez.
Here are some new things going on in your life...
- We took the binkie away last month. I wasn't too worried about you still using a binkie. I figured that sooner or later you would get sick of it and not want it anymore. However, that didn't happen. Instead you wanted it all the time and it was getting a little ridiculous. So one day dad took out the scissors and snipped the ends off of all the binkies. You were pretty mad at first but soon forgot about the binkie. Now when you see one you don't even want it.
- You love singing songs. Your favorites are Itsy Bitsy Spider and Popcorn Popping. You know all the hand motions and clap when we are done.
- You know a lot of your body parts now. Your favorites are your tongue and cheeks. You like showing people your "button" and finding other people's buttons.
- The tantrums are starting... mainly over not being carried or held when you want to. This one has been hard, we are trying to get you to walk more since it's been pretty necessary lately.
- You love watching people cook. You like seeing the food in the oven and waving at things when they are hot.
- You can say a lot of words. Mainly no no no no no, up, down, eye (pointing to your eye), cheese, all done, baby... I think those are all of the new ones.
- You are down to one nap a day. You still fall asleep when we go get dad from work so I'm not really sure what to do about this but we're working on it.
- You really like to jabber. You like to talk to people like you are in a conversation, using your arms and everything. Then you laugh at yourself. It's adorable.
You went to the doctor again this month for your well check. Turns out you had an ear infection. You've been so clingy and unhappy lately no wonder. Here are your stats...
Weight - 25 lbs 15 oz 50th percentile
Height - 34 inches tall 90th percentile
Head Circumference (I forgot, I'll fill this in later...) 90th percentile
You haven't gained any weight in the last little while but your doc thinks that genetics are kicking in. You will most likely be a tall lanky kid like your dad and I were. Sorry about that ;).
We sure love you little boy. You bring so much happiness into our lives. We love being your parents and spending our days with you. 4 1/2 more months until little brother comes around so we will have lots of fun and try to do a lot of fun things with you before you become a big brother.
We love you!
Love,
Mom
P.S. Ahhhh it's finally here! Today you went to nursery for the first time! At first you cried when we left, but when I came to pick you up you didn't even want to look at me. You were having too much fun playing and didn't want to leave. It was so nice to go to church and listen to the lesson for the first time in a long time.
