My student...

Listening to this beauty play a few songs at the wedding breakfast brought a few tears to my eyes... what a talented sister in law I have.
Yes, I would like to take a proud mother hen moment here if I can... I taught this girl how to play the guitar. When she was in high school she really wanted to play the guitar, so she talked Justin into selling her his guitar, and she talked me into driving out to her house every week to give her lessons. I'm just kidding, I was happy to do it. I can't take too much credit, I just taught her the basics and she has worked hard ever since. Makes me wonder why I don't really play anymore... cause we all know if you don't use it you lose it!
She really did an amazing job. She has a great voice and great taste in music so everything she plays is so nice. I think she had lots of us in tears... partly because she picked out some great classic love songs... and partly because we love her and are proud of her!

Love you Rachel!

So cool - I don't have much patience to teach family anything. Friends, sure...but family, no way!!
Go "mother hen"!!

p.s. I have a pinto-bean donut recipe if you want it!!

That is one instrument I should have learned. Maybe that can be one of my goals one of these years....
