The one and only time that I have ever woken up at the crack of 3 AM to wait in line on Black Friday was to get these three little trees when we were first married...
They were $5 at Fred Meyers {does that store even exist anymore??}. I think that they were well worth the money. It's hard for me to want to buy a real tree, when I can just whip these out. I like that it's a little different...
I don't know if I'm going to add anything else to them this year... lights, red and silver bulbs, and snowflake ornaments. It's simple, but nice.
Since we got married just after Christmas we had a winter wonderland theme at the reception. We had everyone we knew bring their fake trees to the church and we decked out the cultural hall to look like a forest. We made these snowflake ceramic ornaments to go on the trees. It's fun to pull them out every year and remember that time... getting ready for the wedding.

I love the three trees of various sizes better than the big one tree. That's what I always do. Very lovely decorations!
Ok...great minds think alike. I bought three little trees like that after we had moved to our second apartment and didn't have a lot of money. Those are the ones my kids decorated this year. But...we picked the exact same theme for the decorations....Red, Silver and snowflakes! LOL I decided to retire the Periwinkle last year.
Those trees are so cute! I was just telling Evan about your reception the other day and how cool it was with all the trees and the lights.
I like the idea of small trees...and I am sure it is easier to have small trees that you can put above ground when you have a one year old around:)!
I love the three trees with white lights (big fan of white lights).
I also wanted to tell you that I found the link to another machine quilting tutorial that I used.
http://www.thimbleblossoms.com/Thimble_Blossoms/Thimble_Blossoms_Home/Thimble_Blossoms_Home_files/StipplingTutorial.pdf. Her main website (http://www.camilleroskelley.typepad.com/) has a lot of cute decorating and quilting stuff that I think you'd like (if you haven't already seen it).
what great trees for a great price. i swear the store only exists in the east/mid west and oregon. they look sooo pretty!
