I have never considered myself to be very fashion oriented. I'm sure that Stacey and Clinton would have a hay day in my closet. However, I recently realized that I DO have a style preference, and instead of ignore it or try to change it like I have in the past, I'm going to embrace it and wear it well... since it is part of who I am and what I like...
It's simple really... I LIKE SOLIDS!!! That's right. There you have it, that's my style. I like solids (shirts mainly)... I'm not a print kind of a girl, at all! I do have a few print things but 99% of the time when I'm shopping I go straight for the solid colored items. I've just decided that if I'm going to be a solid kind of a girl, I have to get a type of shirt that has a little character to it and it's not just a tee shirt.

See, that wasn't so bad! I can add prints or definition in with shoes and earrings. But I'm going to stick mainly with my solids... because I love them. I feel a little more sophisticated or something, it's a good trick.
All of these shirts are from Kohls.... I really like that store. I like that they have cute stuff that is right in my price range...
Ahhh... the things that we learn with age.... or maybe I really knew it all along...

You know, I came to that same realization about a year ago...I definitely have a preference when it comes to my clothes/style and it usually isn't what is the most trendy/stylish. However, I feel that I wear what I want well so I just stick to that. Plus, I know that it is purely mental, but I just feel ridiculous when I try to wear something that is trendy and not my style preference. BTW, I LOVE solids and you look fabulous all of the time!
I am the same way. I dress Sierra that way as well. She only has a few shirts that have a print. I just don't like prints. Also, I saw you in that green shirt and you looked fabulous! Thanks for letting us come and visit. Evan said he wished we lived closer so I could hang out with you. I thought that was cute.
