Happy 5 month mark!!! I can’t believe how fast this last month has flown by. You are getting bigger and bigger, and funner and funner every day.
Some of your milestones for the month are that you started rolling from your tummy to your back. That’s a hard thing to do, you still have a hard time doing it but you try it all the time anyway!!! About a week ago you started to roll from your back to your stomach and you realize that you don’t really like to be on your tummy and you cry!! Oh, it’s pretty funny! It’s made sleeping a little interesting because you will roll onto your tummy and get stuck in the corner of the crib, but you get mad at me if I move you back onto your back, so I guess you’re becoming a tummy sleeper.
You discovered your toes this month and like to hold those little toes. You’re getting better at eating baby food, now instead of just smiling at me when I put the spoon to your mouth you will actually open your mouth to get the food. Makes feeding you a lot easier for me!! You hate the vacuum and stick out that little lip every time it turns on.
I’ve started to read books to you and you love looking at the pictures and turning the pages (sort of). One thing that I wasn’t too excited for but it’s good for you, is that you’ve discovered how to pull your pacifier out of your mouth and you try to put it back in. If you don’t want that in, you just yank it out! No more baby silencer for me!
As for sleep, we are still working on this. You are not a very good sleeper, and I think that a lot of that is my fault. You have a new bedtime of 7 pm, and things are starting to get a lot better. Your favorite place to sleep is still in your stroller car-seat after we go on walks.
You are getting to be such a big boy!! You are really growing up fast and are such a cute little boy to hang out with everyday. Thanks for being so happy and sweet.
