Two Months...

Dear Tru,

Happy two months baby boy!!! Today is a great day, you are officially two months old and I no longer have to panic to death that if you get a fever we have to rush you to the hospital! Don't worry, I'll still keep close tabs on you, but we can now go back to church and go around large groups of people without such a risk, life will now continue.

You have grown up a lot in the last month. You are still a pretty fussy baby but not nearly as much as you were before. You find time to fit in the smiles and the coos in between the cries which is so nice. Yes, you started smiling at us this month, which is one of the best parts of my day, to see your little smile. You also have started to look around so much more at everything, you are easily distracted by whatever is going on around you.

You love it when your dad comes home, you smile and coo at him, you guys have a lot of fun playing together. I'm not sure what I would do without your dad, he's the one that has figured basically everything out, how you like to sleep, how to make your tummy feel better, how to make you smile the most, so we really like it when dad comes home.

You had your first shots a few days ago, and you did pretty well. The doctor confirmed our thoughts about you though... YOUR HUGE!!! Here are your current stats:
Weight - 14 obs 5 oz (97th percentile)
Height - 23 1/4 inches (75th percentile)
Head Circumference - 41 1/2 cm (85th percentile)

Yep, you are officially huge, I knew that you were getting bigger, but gaining 5 lbs in two months! You are a little chunker, which is why your nickname has evolved from chompers to chunkers, which we lovingly call you.

Thanks for being such a cute kid and for making us so happy! We love you Tru!

Love,
Mom
