The Weekend BEFORE Christmas...

I'm starting to feel like I don't really live that far away from home...

We had another wonderful weekend up with our families. We went home for our family Christmas parties. It worked out perfectly, my families on Friday, Trent's on Saturday, came home on Sunday. We will be spending Christmas by ourselves this year, this is the second time that we will be doing Christmas on our own in the last five Christmases we've been married. I'm excited to be starting our own traditions with our little family.

Our short little weekend was a pretty eventful one. It was filled with...

- Doing donuts on I-15 (I was driving of course, I'm wasn't allowed to drive the rest of the way...)

- Tru choking on a red lifesaver... lifesaver huh?

- Mohawks

- Winder Dairy Eggnog

- Christmas jello

- Presents

- Good food

- Pregnant bellies (two babies coming in the next two months!!!! I can't wait!)

- Bringing the best white elephant gift ever!!! A rotisserie chicken, still hot!

- Smiling faces while opening presents

At my husbands family party my mother in law pulled out these bells and had us play Christmas songs. At first I admit I was a little nervous. I come from a very musical family and Trent's family is not necessarily un-musical... but I was nervous how this would all go... The first few songs, unrecognizable!!! But we practiced a little bit and Away in a Manger was awesome! It's fun to have a family big enough for a full bell choir!

I feel great today... the biggest Christmas stress is over. The presents are bought and wrapped, the trip is over and getting cleaned up now, all that's left is to enjoy the day.

That is so crazy that you did donuts on the freeway. How freakin' scary! I'm glad you're okay and that you had such a great time with your family!

How fun, and how lucky you are! I wish I could go somewhere, get it over with , then come home to a peaceful (and clean) house to enjoy the real holiday quietly . . . In my dreams :) I'd miss the noise and kids, but I'd be willing to give it a shot. Miss yer face!

I am glad you had fun. I love the hair on Tru. You should style it like that more often. Can't wait to see you.
