We put in three different offers. The first one was a cute one story house, good location, was nice neighborhood. After a few days it didn't feel right so we pulled our offer...
Then we decided to look in a different area that was a little better priced (get more house for our money). We found two houses in the same day that we liked. We put an offer on both. The one that was our second choice accepted our offer.... we waited a few days to see if our first choice would accept the offer..... it did. We pulled out of the other, and said yes to choice #1.
Are you still following me??
This is the house that I've been talking about, with the huge backyard, double oven, tub to die for.... the one that we pulled out of because they were taking forever and... it just didn't feel right.
Okay, if you've gone crazy just reading the indecisiveness here then maybe you can get a glimpse into my crazy world as of late. Why is it sooo hard to just pick out a house??? Honestly!!!
They just didn't feel right, none of them!!! When we started this house hunting process we did so with a prayer in our hearts that we would find the place that would be best for us and our family at this time and that we would be directed where we should go. Okay, the prayer wasn't just in our hearts, we prayed pretty hard on this one...
We saw the "taking forever" on the last house and our uneasy feelings that just grew worse by day as a sign that things weren't right. This wasn't the right place for us....
So one Sunday we talked about it. What were our long term goals? What area of town did we like the best? Where do we always go when we go out?
There is one area out here that we love. It's a super nice area and we always find ourselves driving there whenever we go anywhere pretty much. So we hopped in the car and drove there to see what we could find.
The more we thought about it the more we realized that maybe we should buy a condo. Our long term goal is not to live here forever, but to move back home. I would hate to buy a house here and then not be able to sell it and be stuck here.... FOREVER!!! (sorry for the drama...) But with a condo... we could rent it out. Move whenever we were ready. Sell it someday. We've always talked about having some rental properties, so this seemed like a good idea.
The first condo that we walked in, was perfect.
It's as big as some of the one story houses we looked at.
It has three bedrooms, two bathrooms.
It's.... perfect.
Forty houses didn't feel right. One condo did.... I feel so good knowing that we are doing the right thing...
We are still playing the waiting game because it's a foreclosure and the banks are sllloooowwww........
But I don't mind waiting for the right place.
These are the only pictures that I have, the ones I got online...

The days are numbered on that light blue fireplace!!! Don't know what I'm doing to do with it yet, but it will be fantastic!!! Anyway, sorry for not saying anything for a while. But hopefully within a month we will be here.

Love, LOVE, LOVE the kitchen!
The condo looks great! I know what you mean about looking at houses. Josh and I just bought our first house in Indiana and it was a tough decision, but has worked out great. Good luck with everything!
I think you are very wise with your decisions! Also, I don't think you are being indecisive...only smart. You have to be very careful when you are buying a home because it isn't something that can just be undone so easily. Once you buy something it is yours so you have to be happy with it and feel that it is a right choice and if it isn't...then you have to deal with trying to sell it. Also, I love the condo...looks like a good find!
Oh I am so glad that you found a place! Steve and I finally gave up our search because everything we loved, someone else got to first. We decided we'll rent for a year (which we both HATE doing) and hopefully then it will be right for us to find something. Congratulations on your beautiful condo!
congrats! good luck, it looks nice :) can't wait to have a slumber party there!

I loved your story! Your patience is amazing! The best part of a condo is: No YARD WORK! HOORAY!
It looks really nice! I'm excited that you've found something you feel good about. Its such a huge decision, so I dont blame you for taking your time. Good luck with everything!! I love Tru's rocking chair also!!
