Sea of half finished projects...

I am currently swimming in a sea of half finished projects...

First is the high chair that I am refinishing for Tru. We bought it off of Craigslist for $25, but I can't stand light wood. I'm a dark wood or a white kind of a girl, so I've almost sanded the whole thing, painted the bottom half. I need to get some wood fill to fill in the "Hansel and Gretel" design in the top (not a fan of that either). When we bought it the buckle was broken, so I've ordered a new buckle and bought new webbing from JoAnn's to fix the straps with.... man. Should I have just bought a good high chair??? I'm still thinking... no. I love projects, I just love them more when they are done. So here it is in it's current half finished state... not usable at the moment...

Next... I'm making a quilt for my sister who is getting married. The top is completely done, I tied it instead of hand quilting it because I just don't have that kind of time right now (bummer). All that's left is to put the binding around the edge and I will be totally done with the quilt...

(This isn't the best picture of it because I don't want Erinn to see the final project until I give it to her... sorry.)

Last but not least, I have this pile of fabric that I am going to make four beautiful skirts for the four beautiful older sisters for the wedding. Six weeks till the wedding, so this one needs to get done pronto.

I think that the real question is why am I blogging right now??? They all need to get done pronto!! I think that I have an unhealthy addiction or something. You may not see much of me till I get these done...

Absolutely nothing wrong with having half-finished projects sitting around your house. I have (I feel) about a billion of them...but then I always have something to do. I can't remember the last time that I said, "I have nothing to do"...it's a good feeling.
Good luck with them, and I can't wait to see pictures of the finished products!!!

Wow, Meg! You are so highly ambitious! I wish a little more of that ambition would rub off on me!
That is so cool that you are making the skirts for your sister's wedding! I would love to see a post of the finished product!

LOL! I totally remember you getting into sewing! And I remember you learning quilting from Kimberlee while she went through her quilting class! If I would have been smart, I would have joined in the addiction! :)
