We have officially started the house hunting. I never in a million years thought that this day would come!! I know that we've been married for quite a while and it may seem like the logical thing to do, I just thought that we would be in school longer and now that it's not the case, we are on the look. I've found that Trent is much pickier than me when it comes to stuff like this. He has given me the list of things that he would like in a house (I'm the main hunter because he's the main worker). My list is MUCH shorter, here it is....
I want a tub.... a nice tub. That's about it.
Okay, I want more than that, but a nice tub would be wonderful. Preferably one that was connected to the master bedroom and I don't have to walk a crossed the house to get there.
I guess the real thing on my list would be to be in a safe area. Safety is always #1 in my mind, so I hope that we can find something in a good area that we can feel pretty safe in. I'm really excited to hopefully be home owners because renting, isn't super safe. Who knows how many people could have access to your place, you can't put in any type of alarm system, you can't put in any type of window safety like laminate or bars (bars??? Yes, I am considering bars). So buying a home will be good because I can doctor it all up and make it safe for us.
Anyway, I guess wish us luck because I've only looked at two houses so far and I already have a headache!!!

Hooray!! How exciting!! Gosh...that seems so far away for us! I can't wait to have a home of my own.

P.S. Where are you looking for houses at?
Good luck with the house hunt. Just remember, this will be your most stressless house hunt because you're not trying to sell the house you're currently in while trying to find another one. So don't take this wonderful situation for granted! :) Also, I like the bars idea.
Congrats on the house-hunting. I think that we're still a long ways away from that!
I agree with you on the tub, though...I want a nice tub in the master bathroom when we get a big house!! Nothing better than relaxing in a nice warm bath in a GREAT tub :)
How exciting!! I didn't know you guys planned to stay there for a while. That's so cool. My sister lives there. I'm jealous of you guys cuz I really like warm weather. Its still cold here. I hate it. But summer will come... someday. Anyway, I can't wait to see how your house hunting goes. You're lucky that Trent has such a simple request. That makes it easy!
Hey Meg, I just thought I would drop by and let you know that I am one of those people that has been secretly reading your blog. Surprise! :)
Anyway, I added you to my blog and I decided that I would tell you about it. Especially since Sharon just left you a message on one of my blog comments, and you didn't even know I had one.
Anyway, thats about it! Love the blog and good luck with the house hunting!
You just learned that I am reading your blog, and already I am tagging you! :)

Too bad you can't come and live in our complex. I know a condo isn't a house, but it's a pretty nice safe area, and you can put in different windows . . . (Actually you'll want to because the one's here are single paned!) But yeah, there is a condo for sale here, I think it's running about $115,000 What's you're price range?
I hear ya! Steve and I are both totally against renting so we've been on the house hunt too. It is definitely a headache!
you guys are so lucky! I want a house! Ya, a big nice tub would be my top thing too! And a walk in closet! If I was lucky we could each have our own huge walk in closets like james parents!
Yay for house hunting!! I wish you guys were up here, there are lots of houses for sale in our great neighborhood. We just knew when we walked into the model for our house that it was the right one so I am sure your right house is out there too! Good luck and happy shopping!
Congrats! It is so fun having your own house. We have been in ours for almost 4 years. It is the best. You'll have to post some pictures when you find the perfect one! Good luck.
