Broken...

So frustrating!! I have two broken sewing machines on my hands. One is the machine that I had in Hawaii, it finally made it here a while after I shipped it (I think it was 6 months later!!!) and it had been shipped back in forth 4 times and was so battered it’s not usable. The pedal doesn’t work, the part that holds the thread on top is broken off, bobbin winder is broken off…. not usable. So I’ve been using the machine that my mom bought me in high-school and I officially broke that one this weekend. I’ve been sewing a lot lately because I have a ton of projects that I’ve started and am trying to get done. I think that it was the baby carrier that did it in, too thick of material. Now the top thread doesn’t go all the way around the bobbin to catch it, and I can’t figure out how to fix it….. sad.

Last night both my boys went to bed around 7 p.m. (Trent was sick) and so I spent the night trying to figure out how to fix either machine…. no luck. So this morning Trent started looking for repair shops, which lead to looking for machines, which lead to finding an awesome machine…. which lead to buying a new sewing machine!! One that is way more high tech than I ever wanted. I’m a simple girl… I like simple things… this is not a simple machine. But he was sneaky and bought it. It will be here in about a week. Hopefully I can figure it out and sew to my hearts content.
