Trent.. if you read this then you wont be surprised on Christmas!!!!! But I'm willing to take that risk....
Sometimes it's hard to know what to get for your significant other on all these holidays and birthdays. So I want to share with you all a cute fun idea for a simple gift that you can slip in their stocking this year that I love.
I actually got this for a wedding gift that I am resurrecting this Christmas. It's a little wooden heart, and it came with some sort of poem that I don't remember. Anyway, the jist of the game is that you hide the heart somewhere that you know your hunny will find it, and then when they find it they hide it somewhere that you will find it. We played this game for about a year and then Trent hid it so well that it was never found again. I've been thinking about this game lately so I thought that I would make another heart and give it to him for part of his Christmas gifts and we can start our heart game again.
What you need:
- wooden heart from craft store (pack of 6 for like a buck)
- red and cream paint plus a paint brush
- toothpick (to write the words with)
- small picture of the two of you
- modge podge
You paint the heart red and then with a toothpick I wrote the words "I love you" and did a little lacie number around it so that it looked like a valentine. Then you cut the picture to fit on the back and put down a layer of modge podge and place the picture. Add more modge podge so that the picture sticks and the sides are glued down.
Now you have a cute little gift that will keep on giving. It will remind you that you love each other everyday of the year. It's nice to be doing something like putting on a shoe and finding the heart, or opening your hairspray bottle and the heart falls out. It's just a cute way to remember that you are loved and that you love your sweetheart.
