Keyless...

Well, as I was on the plane yesterday to move to Las Vegas I realized that I was totally keyless. I had turned in my apartment keys, my work keys, my car keys. It was an interesting feeling. Keys are really important these days. If you loose your keys or lock them in the car it's the worst thing in the world. All the sudden all your security and sense of control is gone when the keys disappear. So it was a little strange to realize that I didn't even have any keys to loose. When I got to Las Vegas Trent gave me some new keys, he had an apartment key made for me in a leopard print key... he knows me too well. So I have keys again!

I'm excited to be here. It was sad to leave, I grew up a lot while in Hawaii and learned so many valuable lessons. But I'm happy to be where I am and in this stage of life. We are both done with this leg of school, have a baby on the way, bought our first bed and car, it's just an exciting time.

One more little story. There is this gecko that has no tail that has been hanging around our Hawaii apartment the whole time that we have been living there. He grosses me out because he doesn't have a tail, and he is a fat gecko, so that makes it even worse. One time about a year ago I got up in the night to use the bathroom and he had gotten into the house and was on the bathroom floor. I couldn't stand to kill him and feel the squish of the fat gecko, so I stuck a cup over him and let Trent let him out in the morning. Well, my last day there, nothing is in the apartment but the furniture that came with it, and I'm walking around admiring my wonderful cleaning job, and low and behold the fat, tailess gecko was inside the apartment again! I guess he won, I just let him live there. I gave up my hate for a night and let the poor guy live in the apartment and the next tenants can deal with it. I'm glad that I don't have to worry about geckos any more!!!
