Today we went to the beach, probably for the last time that we are here in paradise. There was supposed to be an elders quorm party, but Trent was one of three guys that came. I came along too, and I'm glad because there wasn't really anyone else there. So I have this big fobia about getting in the ocean because I think that I'm going to get eaten by a shark, or stung by jellyfish, etc. I'm probably the whitest person living on Oahu. Nobody is going to believe me when I tell them that I've lived in Hawaii for 2 1/2 years, but oh well. Hopefully my reward for being beach shy is not getting skin cancer someday. Anyway, I decided to be brave and get in the water before Trent dragged me in by my hair. So I worked my way in and it was really nice. Clear beautiful water, no apparent eels or sharks lerking about, so I was having a good time. Trent came in and joined me, and when the clouds started coming in we decided to make our way back to shore. My friend Isabel was on the beach waving us in, so I was starting to wonder what was going on. Apparently there were little blue bubble jellyfish all over the shore!!!!! Hello! No wonder I don't like getting in the water! Luckily we didn't get stung, but it was pretty cool to look at these little things, but it does justify more my fear of the ocean.
I'm going to miss this place. We've gotten rid of most of our stuff. I heard on the news today that it was 97 degrees in Las Vegas. I'm going to die!
